Charlotte's job-market growth has held many classes in the metro and pulled others back. CLT airport is 15 minutes from Uptown. The combination of Uptown's walkable hotel-and-restaurant scene with Southend's brewery district gives you a real choice between formal milestone events and casual reunion-weekend formats. And Charlotte's southern-hospitality default means catering is reliably gracious without being stuffy.
